Leslie Walker Christmas + Maternity Photos
I was so excited to be able to photograph my friend Leslie Walker, her hubby Dustin & their adorable dog nicknamed “Bean.” Aren’t they such a cute family? And they have one more on the way! I wanted to get some good maternity photos of them, so at one point I doubled as dog holder/photographer…. that’s dedication, folks.
Enjoy!

I know my cousin Will is cooler than me… and he’s only five years old. He’s witty, does killer impersonations and wants to be a Rockstar when he grows up. Enjoy his portraits!

Baby Sprinkle // Bowties and Buttons
I was so excited when my friend Tiffani of Creative Designs and Events asked me to come take pictures at her sister’s Baby Sprinkle… and then I had to ask what a Baby Sprinkle was! Have you ever heard of it?? It was a new one for me, but I love the idea! I’ll let her explain what it is below and she describes the ADORABLE bowties and buttons theme for this cute baby shower.
Tiffani said, “I threw a Baby Sprinkle for my sister, several people have asked what is a Baby Sprinkle? A Baby Sprinkle is a celebration of the birth of a second child. It’s a intimate and simpler party for the mother, since she probably still have the bigger items from the first pregnancy. So since my sister was having her second child we decided to throw a Baby Sprinkle. Since she is having a boy, I chose a Buttons and Bow-tie Theme and using navy/white stripes and Kelly green as the colors. I tried to incorporate the colors into all of the details…”
“Since my sister is a graphic designer, she designed the invitations and added a liner to the envelopes. So once guest received the invitations they knew exactly what to expect at the sprinkle…”
“For the menu, I chose foods that my sister enjoys eating. So we had Boneless Buffalo Wings and Chicken Strips her favorite! I always make a fruit tart that my family really enjoys, so I created a bite size version of the dessert, using blueberries. I made the straw flags in a cute navy and white ribbon to accent the white cups. I used blueberries and limes to bring the colors into the punch and garnish it, making for a very tasty punch!”
“For the food table, I wanted to use all white serving dishes to keep everything clean and crisp. I made runners for the tables from fabric remnants that my sister gave me. I added paper bow-ties and buttons to dress up the napkins. I created mini green bow-ties for guest to wear once they arrived to the sprinkle. Bow-ties and buttons were accented through out the entire sprinkle.”
I just love this idea — what do y’all think!?
p.s. I will be out of the country this week shooting a wedding so I will return your emails or calls Monday September 12th!

I LOVE Pinterest | Friday Fun
Y’all know that I always love to be on top of the newest fun websites and if you haven’t heard of Pinterest yet… well, you’re in for a huge treat. And it’s just perfect for today’s Friday Fun post!
What is Pinterest?
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
Their Mission
Our goal is to connect everyone in the world through the ‘things’ they find interesting. We think that a favorite book, toy, or recipe can reveal a common link between two people. With millions of new pins added every week, Pinterest is connecting people all over the world based on shared tastes and interests.
Confession
I’ll admit, I am kind of addicted… and by kind of I mean I really, really love this site. This website has really filled a void for me in my online browsing world. I love to read and follow all different kind of blogs, but inevitably whenever I would try to remember a craft, a design idea or something that I wanted the photo of, I couldn’t remember where I had first seen it.
ENTER PINTEREST.
Now, I not only get to keep track of my fun ideas, inspirations and dreams for the future, I get to follow my friends’ boards too. It’s like one giant, beautiful pinning party.
Ways I use Pinterest…
Keep track of Photo Display inspirations I love and eventually want to replicate in our house or my studio:
I also keep track of Photo Projects that I will tackle one day like this amazing Photo Wall from Freshhomeideas.com, this photo collage letter – perfect for a wedding gift!- from somewhatsimple.com or this photo transfer lamp shade also from freshhomeideas.com.
Those are just two of the photography-related boards that I have on Pinterest but you can
by clicking that button!
But first… If you’re not on Pinterest and you want to be invited, use the Contact Me form and send me your email address that you want your invitation sent to, and I’ll send one your way!
Pinning Etiquette 101!
- Be nice! It’s a really fun, inspirational community so let’s keep it that way!
- CREDIT your sources! Photographers, blogs, writers should be credited like “photo by” or “found via decor8.com”
I love this graphic by Rosies Creations and yes, go on… CURATE THE INTERNET!
